The Gyb'easy Wichard boom brake will allow you to reduce the risks of gybing. Indeed, gybing is one of the most risky and dangerous maneuvers in sailing, which can cause all kinds of material and physical damage.
This Wichard boom brake uses the Gyb'Flex, a specific high elongation rope passing through the brake lights. When using this boom brake, the passage of the boom is braked by the friction of the rope on the brake.
Light and compact, the Gyb'Easy is easy to use. Indeed, it is adjustable in 3 different ways in order to adapt to the size of the mainsail as well as to the sailing conditions. To do so, you will just have to increase the number of passages in the openings of the boom brake.
