Navicarte is a Topoplastic company, part of the Plastimo group.Navicarte creates and markets high-quality navigation charts. They are often contrasted with shom charts. Navicarte paper charts are more playful, colorful and the main information is easy to read. For example, you may find on a chart symbols indicating a port, a traffic light, a luminous buoy, and so on. A shom map may reflect a better reality of the water, but it's harder to read and more austere for many. The prices of a shom chart and a navicarte chart are quite similar.
Navigation by Navicarte and Mininav
The chart is one of the sailor's essential navigation accessories. Even in paper chart format, a navicarte navigation chart is obviously a laminated chart. They resist folding very well, and their water resistance, although limited in time, gives them a very long life.
Navicarte charts are available for all the coasts of France and Spain, and are suitable for navigation by virtue of the agreement with the Shom (Navicarte uses the Shom charts as a basis).
