Vagnon
Editions Vagnon was founded in 1963 by Henri Vagnon, a civil servant in the navigation department. On his own initiative, he created a preparation manual for the pleasure boating license, inland waterways option, then known as the "fluvial license". This first manual marked the official creation of the Vagnon code, which gave rise to a complete collection of guides and manuals for pleasure boaters.
CODE VAGNON: FOR LEARNING THE BOATING LICENSE
The Vagnon Code is now the official training aid for all boating licenses. It is widely recognized in the maritime field, and is published in partnership with the Maritime Affairs Department of the French Ministry of Ecology and Solidarity.
Vagnon also offers technical books on navigation, boat maintenance and maritime regulations, as well as books on fishing, diving and nautical guides, including the French version of the , a worldwide reference in the field of navigation guides.

In 2012, Vagnon editions were taken over by the Fleurus group, which broadened their editorial line while retaining their link with the sea. The Vagnon catalog has been enriched with books for young people, DIY and hobby manuals, beautiful books and pop-ups, as well as works on ecology and maritime history. Vagnon defines itself as the publisher for the sea, thanks in particular to its famous Vagnon Code for learning the coastal option of the boating license.
