The Helly Hansen replacement release mechanism is different between lifejackets.
The UML release mechanism is the same as the UML release mechanism, it is only when the person falls into the water that the lifejacket activates thanks to a water sensitive pad.
The HR mechanism deploys when the lifejacket is submerged more than 10 cm. A membrane then tears, allowing water to pass through and triggering the lifejacket.
