GUIDES EDITIONS DU BREIL N°1 TO 21 : TO DISCOVER THE WATERWAYS OF FRANCE
The guides Editions du Breil (EDB) N°1 to 21 are guides tracing the majority of the waterways of France. The country is divided into 18 zones that you will find in these guides (zones 8, 13 and 15 do not exist). Each one traces the history of each canal and river.
The beginning of each guide contains navigation information concerning the gauge of the channels in the guide, the precautions to take and useful addresses. It also includes distances and times between ports and stops.
The guides are an anthology of good addresses (restaurants, museums, tourist sites, services available) that you may encounter on your journey. A calendar of market days and dates of events along the waterway is also included.
The cartography is precise and detailed, oriented north/south. The scale is adapted, going from 1/50 000 for the canals to 1/25 000 for the rivers.
The editions are updated every 2 years, allowing a renewal of the bridges, buoys, banks and marking plan to stick to the reality.
