The NASA Marine AIS Receiver for PC or GPS Plotter picks up AIS radio signals from vessels equipped with a transmitter and converts them to NMEA format for transfer to your chartplotter. This AIS receiver keeps you safe onboard by showing the position of nearby vessels on a chart using SeaClear software. Any vessel on the screen can be selected and its AIS data displayed: vessel name, MMSI number, position, call sign and destination.

USING THE NASA MARINE PC AIS RECEIVER
TheNASA Marine AIS Receiver can be used with plotters or other software such as Maxsez and OpenCPN that have an AIS input. We recommend that you check the hardware compatibility with your software. A high-speed NMEA 0183 input at 38400 baud is required to accept VDM AIS channels.
AIS RECEIVER COMPATIBILITY FOR PC OR NASA MARINE GPS PLOTTER
If your PC does not have a 9-pin port (db9), an optional USB converter is available. Associated with a VHF antenna, it will be complete and ready to operate. The connection to a GPS system is essential for the operation of this unit. The AIS receiver for PC or NASA Marine GPS plotter is compatible with all GPS chartplotters with AIS option and with all navigation software with AIS option.
