For Arnaud Boissières, sailing is primarily the Arcachon basin. This is where it all started. Then came his participations in the Mini Transat and other renowned races. In 2008, at the age of 36, he set off for his first Vendée Globe and finished 7th. Hailed for his human qualities and his determination, he surprised the public with his good score. In 2012, Arnaud finished 8th in the Vendée Globe and repeated the experience in the following editions. In 2021, he takes over the helm of the former Initiatives-Cœur from Sam Davies and participates in all the IMOCA GLOBE SERIES races.

In 2023, the Arcachon skipper will take part in the double-handed races of the season accompanied by Gerard Veniard. And for his 5^th participation in the Vendée Globe 2024, Arnaud Boissières has chosen to partner with the Italian brandfor supply technical textiles and equipment.
