The dry suit: stay dry during your dinghy session

When the weather conditions get harsh, it becomes all the more important to protect yourself from water infiltration and splashes. Whether you practice dinghy sailing, kitesurfing or windsurfing, here you will find our selection of dry suits, ideal for this type of water activity.

Why choose a dry suit

You will need to invest in a dry suit if you plan on going out in cold weather. The main challenge of the dry suit is obviously to keep you dry, because humidity will make you cold very quickly. A dry suit is effective thanks to two criteria. The first is the material used for the suit itself. It must be completely waterproof, that is to say with a waterproof level of at least 10,000 mm.

The second criterion is protection at the sleeves and collar. In general, these are made of neoprene, and tight enough to prevent water from penetrating the sleeves, collar and/or ankles. It is these two criteria which guarantee effective waterproofing for sailing in difficult conditions. Another advantage of the dry suit is that it is windproof, so it will prevent air from seeping in and causing you to catch a cold. Finally, a dry suit allows you to wear several layers underneath, to ensure optimal thermal comfort.
