Compensating box for Plastimo compasses
For Mini-Contest, Contest 101 & 130, Mini-B, Offshore 55, Offshore 75 compasses.
Plastimo compasses are either equipped with compensation or can be equipped with it as an option.
The operation consists in modifying the location of the two magnets close to the compass in order to influence the horizontal component of the rose. We advise you to call in a specialist as this is a delicate operation.
Does my compass need to be compensated?
There are many sources of magnetic compensation on a boat. This phenomenon is called deviation. In the case of a deviation between 7 and 20 degrees, your compass must be compensated.
