Glass Mat Fabric for Super-Marine Laminating is a reinforcement material specially designed for use with polyester resins . It is used to reinforce composite parts in marine applications.
This glass mat fabric is designed to be used as a first layer behind a thin layer for molded parts, and as a final layer for overlays. It offers a flexible surface and can be smoothed quickly after resin application.
When the glass mat is saturated with resin and no longer shows any white areas, it is ready for use. Approximate polyester resin consumption is 0.9 kg/m² for a layer thickness of approx. 0.9 mm, and 1.2 kg/m² for a layer thickness of approx. 1.2 mm.
